Streaming gains another processing option
DSD Remastering Engine converts PCM audio into a DSD stream at 11.2MHz, a process Sony says is intended to give playback a character closer to analogue. The S-Master™ HX digital amplifier supports Native DSD and balanced output, and adds a look-ahead noise shaper that Sony says predicts quantization noise before applying processing.
The NW-WM1ZM3 uses gold-plated oxygen-free copper for its main chassis, while the NW-ZX900 and NW-WM1AM3 pair aluminium-alloy main chassis with gold-plated oxygen-free copper rear chassis. Inside the NW-WM1AM3 and NW-WM1ZM3, two large solid high-polymer capacitors replace the previous single-capacitor arrangement, which Sony says helps stabilize power and limit interference.
If DSD Remastering Engine for Wi-Fi streaming is your priority, the NW-ZX900 includes it at the lowest suggested retail price of these three models.
