Streaming and TV sound join Class AB amplification
NAD today introduced the C 359S Integrated Amplifier, combining Class AB amplification rated at 2 x 70 watts continuous into 8 ohms with BluOS streaming and HDMI eARC for TV audio (opens in a new tab). Authorized NAD dealers across Canada and the U.S. have the amplifier available today, with pricing handled through local dealers.

- C 359S Integrated Amplifier is available today in the U.S. and Canada. C 569 CD Player is scheduled for late November.
The accompanying C 569 CD Player is scheduled to arrive in late November through authorized NAD dealers, Amazon and NAD’s online store. NAD directs buyers to local dealers for its pricing and availability. It sits between the C 538 and C 589 in NAD’s CD player range.
Inside the C 359S Integrated Amplifier, a switch mode power supply replaces the large transformer and linear supply traditionally used with Class AB designs. Its circuit layout keeps amplification, signal processing and power conversion separate, which NAD says reduces interaction among the analogue, digital and network circuitry.
Connections for records, subwoofers and an external DAC
Built-in BluOS supports network libraries, internet radio and playback across multiple rooms without adding a separate streamer. The C 359S Integrated Amplifier also provides aptX HD Bluetooth, a turntable phono input, optical and analogue inputs, and a headphone output. Rotary controls, physical buttons and an included IR remote handle operation.
For a system with a subwoofer, the amplifier offers a subwoofer output and optional high-pass filtering. NAD says the filtering sends deep bass to the subwoofer, reducing the burden on the main speakers and amplifier in a 2.1-channel setup.

The C 569 CD Player provides digital and analogue outputs, allowing use with an external DAC or through its own ESS SABRE DAC. NAD says Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH) prevents inter-sample clipping, while QRONO d2a improves timing and resolution with PCM and MQA encoded music.
For a CD system with an external DAC, the C 569 CD Player’s digital outputs let you keep that DAC in the playback chain.
