LG delivers these features through software updates. Availability, rollout timing and feature support can differ according to the model, country or region, compatible router and installed software, including support for Wi-Fi 6 GHz and 5 GHz DFS channels.

What changes around the room

Two W7 subwoofers can connect in compatible LG Sound Suite configurations. LG says the additional placement choices are intended to make bass more consistent across seating positions, with larger listening spaces among the uses it describes.

Networking additions include Wi-Fi 6 GHz support and stereo setups operating on 5 GHz DFS channels. LG positions the expanded network compatibility as a way to accommodate stereo systems and configurations containing multiple speakers in more home networking environments.

LG is also developing the LG Media Connect Hub to enable DTS:X playback using compatible external source devices. The company plans to disclose further details later, and the hub's availability, features and timing remain subject to change.

From the listening chair

For a room with several listening seats, a second W7 is an option in compatible configurations, with LG promising more even bass across those positions.
