TunedRoom

Follow the signal from source to room

How we check

TunedRoom / The publication

Better questions about sound.

The source, the connection, the setting, the room. TunedRoom follows the parts of an audio system that can change what reaches your ears.

Start at one end of the cable

A television output and a speaker input can look compatible without carrying the same signal. A wireless connection can depend on a particular model or format. Those distinctions are the subject of TunedRoom.

We cover headphones, speakers, home theater, turntables, televisions and streaming connections. The aim is to explain the path between source and output, including the limits a new setting cannot remove.

An explanation you can trace

A guide should name the equipment at both ends, identify the relevant documentation and explain why a connection or setting matters. Diagrams make a route easier to see; they do not stand in for a product manual.
