TunedRoom / Editorial method
Trace the signal. Show the evidence.
Our editorial standards start with what a system can carry, then explain what the reader can change.
Source → link → output
We establish the source, the playback equipment and the connection before describing a setting. Model, software and format limits belong beside the recommendation they affect.
- Source
- What supplies the audio or picture?
- Link
- What connection and format carry it?
- Output
- What can the receiving device reproduce?
A connector is not a specification
Manufacturer manuals, support pages and other original documentation are our starting points. We check material claims against that documentation before explaining compatibility. An unsupported compatibility claim is left out or qualified; a familiar-looking socket is not enough.
Research, listening and illustration are different evidence
A researched explanation starts with documented evidence. We include hands-on findings only when the experience is documented. We do not turn a specification comparison into a listening test.
Image credits distinguish photographs from explanatory illustrations and identify generated images. We retain credits and permissions; an illustration is not a photograph of equipment we tested.
Keep the work within the instructions
We separate normal controls and user-accessible checks from electrical work, wall routing or installation that needs a qualified professional. A guide should make the stop point and useful next information clear. It does not authorize work on live power or other hazardous systems.
Disclosure belongs beside the relationship
Paid placements are labeled. An affiliate disclosure explains when TunedRoom may earn a commission from a link. Neither a payment nor a commission supplies evidence for a claim.
Leave a better explanation behind
We check reported errors against the source material, amend material mistakes and explain significant changes on the article.
