The simultaneous wireless connection lets players keep game audio running while also receiving calls or listening to music, Razer says. A Razer SmartSwitch button lets users switch between Bluetooth and the 2.4 GHz connection. Razer also lists support for console and handheld devices alongside PC and mobile use.

For carrying between setups, the Barracuda V2 Pro weighs 285 g and folds into a flat position. Storage built into the headset holds the wireless dongle, while the ear cushions and headband are designed for extended wear, according to Razer.

PC surround and two microphone options

THX Spatial Audio+ provides 7.1.4 virtual surround when the Barracuda V2 Pro is connected to a PC. Razer says four virtual overhead channels place sound cues above the player as well as around them.

A detachable boom microphone handles gaming conversations, while internal beamforming microphones provide an alternative when the boom is removed. Razer says AI-powered microphone noise cancellation operates with either microphone configuration to reduce background sound during speech.

For listening, Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation draws on microphones facing both inward and outward to reduce surrounding distractions, according to Razer. The headset uses Razer™ TriForce Bio-Cellulose 40 mm Drivers for games, music and other entertainment.
