Samsung turns film stills into TV art
Samsung announced its first cinematic collection for Samsung Art Store, a library of 38 stills drawn from films made by the studio A24 (opens in a new tab). The collection is aimed at subscribers who want to display memorable shots from those movies on a Samsung TV at home rather than in a theater. Samsung describes this as its first collection devoted to cinema.

Access requires a paid Art Store subscription at $4.99 per month plus taxes and fees, along with a Samsung Account and a Wi-Fi connection. The collection runs on select Samsung TV models, and the company says availability of individual artworks varies. The Frame and The Frame Pro are the company's art-focused sets, and Samsung expanded Art Store support in 2026 to select Micro RGB, Neo QLED, QLED and MICRO LED series. The flagship OLED S95H is the first Samsung OLED to carry the Art Store.
Kyle Menges, Director of Business Development at Samsung, said the store aims to cover the full range of visual arts. "The Samsung Art Store remains committed to showcasing exceptional works across the full spectrum of visual arts, and film is no exception. Images transport viewers back into the acclaimed films they love so dearly," he said.
What subscribers need before the stills appear
Samsung lists a paid subscription among the requirements for access. A Samsung Account sign-in is also required for network-based smart services, and without it a TV offers only external device connections and over-the-air TV on sets with tuners.
Samsung's art TVs are built to display artwork in a frame-like form, and the company sells customizable Frame bezels separately. Not every piece shown in promotional images is necessarily part of the Art Store library, and artwork availability varies by title.
Earlier this year, Samsung brought a National Park Foundation collection of 40 photographs by Jonathan Irish to the Art Store, announced on September 1 (opens in a new tab). The company also marked Star Wars Day in May with eight new Star Wars artworks made with Disney (opens in a new tab).
Access depends on both a compatible TV and a paid subscription. Check your model's compatibility before subscribing for the A24 collection.
