What Taste Profile does to your Home feed
Spotify is rolling out a beta feature called Taste Profile to Premium listeners in the United States, giving them a way to see and steer how the service reads their taste. The company says the feature covers music, podcasts and audiobooks, and that it reflects Spotify's own interpretation of what a listener likes (opens in a new tab). Access is limited to Premium subscribers who are 18 or older.

The feature was tested in New Zealand earlier in 2026 before this wider rollout. Listeners open it from their profile picture and then choose Taste Profile. Inside, the "Tell us more" section is where adjustments are made.
Written notes are the main tool. A listener can push the Home feed toward content they want and away from content they do not. Notes can also ask for genres or eras, such as '90s alt-rock, or name topics like tech, history or art.
What changes after you write a note
Adjustments usually show up within a few hours, according to Spotify. Notes are not permanent. They can be edited or deleted at any time, and listeners who prefer the current setup can leave Taste Profile untouched.
The beta sits alongside earlier controls that already let listeners exclude tracks or playlists from shaping recommendations. Spotify has also given parents a way to keep kids and family music from influencing what the algorithm suggests. That parental control arrived in a separate announcement earlier in September.
