Artist quizzes arrive inside your listening session
Spotify is expanding Music Quiz today, beginning a rollout across 11 countries with quizzes covering more than 2,000 artists (opens in a new tab). For Spotify Premium listeners aged 18 and older, the feature adds questions about participating artists and their music, accessible from the app while playing a track.

The participating markets include Canada, the U.S., Ireland and the U.K., alongside New Zealand and Australia. The rollout also includes India, Indonesia, Singapore, South Africa and Nigeria. Spotify says access is arriving gradually, so a quiz might not appear immediately for a particular listener or artist.
The quiz challenges include identifying songs from short audio previews, recognizing album artwork as it is revealed and answering music trivia. Questions draw on an artist’s catalog as well as milestones and notable moments in their career, extending the challenge beyond recognizing the track currently playing.
How to find a quiz while playing a track
To access the feature, update Spotify to the latest app version, then start playing a song by an artist participating in Music Quiz. In the Now Playing view, scroll down until you reach the Music Quiz card, which provides the entry point for the questions.
Tap that card to begin answering questions about the artist and their music. Completing the quiz reveals your score, and you can share the result with friends to compare how you did and invite them to try the challenge themselves.
At launch, quizzes for select artists use English, and Spotify says it plans to add further artists, languages and markets. The expansion follows the first Music Quiz earlier this year, which gave ARMY a chance to answer questions about BTS.
