More places to listen and buy
Spotify announced today that it plans to grow audiobook availability from 22 markets to more than 180 before 2026 ends, giving listeners in additional countries options to stream books or purchase individual titles (opens in a new tab). The company says the expansion will give those new markets access to a catalog exceeding 350,000 titles, with more than 120 languages represented.

Eligible Premium subscribers will receive a monthly allowance of 12 audiobook hours as part of their subscription. Spain, Brazil and Poland are among the countries scheduled to get that option. Across Africa and Asia, and in Argentina, Spotify says Audiobooks+ will be the main route for audiobook access.
Listeners can also buy a particular book to keep, while local pricing and access options will differ between markets. Spotify says any listener can add Audiobooks+ for additional monthly hours. Members of Premium Family and Duo can use a recurring Audiobooks+ add-on that provides 15 audiobook hours each month.
Page numbers and Student plan access
Spotify is updating Page Match so readers can scan an ISBN barcode, then enter page numbers to locate their position in a book. The feature supports switching between audio, print and e-book formats and works across more than 30 languages. According to Spotify, Page Match has been used by more than one million readers since February.
In November, Student plan users in Finland, Ireland, Austria and Belgium will be able to add listening hours through Audiobooks+. Spotify plans to bring that Student plan option to further markets over the coming year.
