Spotify Adds All 58 Taylor Swift Music Videos

What Premium subscribers can now watch

Spotify says Taylor Swift's 58 official music videos are now available to Premium subscribers in its beta markets. This is the first time her complete video collection has appeared on Spotify (opens in a new tab), spanning "Tim McGraw" through "Opalite".

Playback starts from the song you already have open. After searching for a track, viewers tap "Switch to video" to start the video, and it resumes at the point where the song left off. Choosing "Switch to audio" sends playback back to background listening. On mobile, turning the phone to landscape gives a full-screen view.

The animated play and pause button returns across the Swift catalog, with visuals that change from album to album. Spotify editors Talia Kraines and Claire Heinichen picked their favorite Swift videos to mark the arrival.

Where the videos play and how to start one

The catalog reaches back to where Swift's video work began. "Tim McGraw" arrived on July 22, 2006, directed by Trey Fanjoy, and was her first-ever music video, shot partly at Johnny Cash's Cash Cabin. Later entries include "You Belong With Me," directed by Roman White, which won Female Video of the Year at the MTV VMAs and made Swift the first and only country artist to take that category.

Swift's own directing credits are in the collection too. "Mine," released August 27, 2010, was her first co-directing credit, shared with Roman White. "The Man" was her solo directorial debut and won Best Direction at the MTV VMAs, making her the first solo female director to win that award. "All Too Well: The Short Film" runs nearly 15 minutes and is based on the 10-minute version of the song.
