A pocket projector gets an art edition
Aurzen showed off a ZIP Pro Basquiat Special Edition in Times Square during Paris Fashion Week, dressing its tri-fold Full HD pocket projector in the visual language of Jean-Michel Basquiat (opens in a new tab). The collection comes in two designs built around Basquiat's Pez Dispenser and Untitled (1985), which Aurzen says extends the projector's unfolding idea into something visual and spatial rather than treating the art as surface decoration.

Aurzen lists the ZIP Pro's weight as 586 grams and says the folded projector fits in a jeans or sweatshirt pocket. According to the company, the folding mechanism also serves as a stand, allowing different projection angles without additional equipment. Its stated brightness is 200 ANSI lumens, with battery playback rated for up to 2.5 hours.
The specifications also include two speakers rated at 2W each and Wi-Fi connectivity. Aurzen positions the projector for casual use in dim lighting. For video input, its USB-C connection supports DisplayPort Alt Mode; the company names Nintendo Switch among the compatible devices.
What the art edition changes for buyers
The Basquiat collection opens for pre-order on October 9 at aurzen.com while the regular ZIP Pro is already available at early bird pricing on the same site. Aurzen did not announce a price for either Basquiat design in this announcement.
Since the special edition is a design-led version of the same tri-fold projector, the specs a buyer would weigh are unchanged: 1080p native resolution, the folding stand, the battery rating and the USB-C video input. The two designs are the difference, and they are licensed through the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat by Artestar, New York.
