The Herdio 6.5 Inches Outdoor Bluetooth Speakers put a stereo pair outside without running a receiver. One cabinet is active and carries the amplifier, while the other is passive and connects by speaker cable. That means your phone or tablet is the source, and Bluetooth 5.0 handles the wireless link.

We'd consider this setup for casual outdoor listening where you want background music or a podcast while you grill, swim, or sit on the deck. The 6.5-inch aluminum injection cone woofer and PET dome tweeter are built for full-range coverage from a wall or ceiling mount.

If you need room-filling home theater sound or critical stereo imaging, we'd skip it. This is a convenience-first outdoor pair, not a replacement for a wired indoor system.

What connects and what stays wired

The signal path starts at your phone or tablet over Bluetooth, then the active speaker powers both cabinets through the included speaker cable. There is no HDMI, optical, or RCA input listed, so a TV or turntable would need its own Bluetooth transmitter to join the chain.

Bluetooth 5.0 is rated for up to 65 feet of wireless range. Walls, fences, and the position of your phone will affect that number, so think about where you will set your source before you mount anything.

The swivel brackets allow up to 120 degrees of motion and the front face rotates up to 90 degrees, which helps you aim sound toward a seating area instead of straight across the yard.

When this pair fits your space

The IP44 waterproof construction handles splashes and light weather, so these work on a covered patio, deck or porch where they are not sitting in standing water. The black ABS cabinets measure 11.61 by 8.46 by 7.68 inches, so check your wall and bracket clearance before you drill.

The box includes two speakers, a power adapter, speaker cable, and the owner's manual. You will need a nearby outlet for the active speaker, and you should confirm the included cable reaches between your two mounting spots.

The price is $117.38, which is $13.81 below the typical price over the last 90 days. At 4.3 stars from 690 reviews, it is a well-reviewed option for adding Bluetooth sound to an outdoor area without a receiver.
