The Apple AirPods Pro 3 Wireless Earbuds cover the listening you do away from speakers. Active noise cancellation cuts up to twice the unwanted sound of the AirPods Pro 2, which matters on a busy train, in an open office or beside a loud street.

We'd consider these a practical buy at $179.00 if you want one pair for music, calls, workouts and travel. Apple's new acoustic design targets richer bass and clearer vocals, while next-generation Adaptive EQ tailors the sound to your ears and fit rather than asking you to adjust.

You carry an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV and want audio to follow

These earbuds are designed to move with you across Apple gear. Automatic Switching hands the connection between devices, and Audio Sharing lets two sets of AirPods split a song or show from an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.

Heart rate sensing turns the same pair into a workout tool, reading your pulse and energy burn across as many as 50 activity types. With an iPhone you also get the Move ring, step count and Workout Buddy.

Live Translation, the Hearing Aid feature with automatic Conversation Boost, and active Hearing Protection all lean on Apple Intelligence and Apple's hearing features, so confirm your devices and region support them before buying.

Your room is the commute, the gym and the sofa

We'd skip them if your phone or computer is not made by Apple, since the smooth switching and sharing described here assume an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV in the chain. Otherwise the AirPods Pro 3 cover a wide slice of daily listening.

They ship in white, in one size, with ear tips in five sizes for a more secure, personalized fit. Expect about 8 hours of listening with noise cancellation engaged, and the Transparency mode used for the Hearing Aid feature stretches that closer to 10. This price sits $22.63 below the typical price over the last 90 days, roughly 11% less.

If you swim, check the water resistance rating first, because not every tip and case combination is meant for the water. And if you plan to lean on the hearing features, confirm their availability where you live.
