The Soundcore Anker ANC Over-Ear Headphones are aimed at anyone who wants a quieter commute or a calmer desk. Adaptive noise cancelling goes after steady, low-frequency sound such as a plane's drone or a train's rumble. We recommend them if adjustable quiet and long battery life matter more to you than a featherweight build.

Custom 40mm dynamic drivers support LDAC, so a compatible Android phone can stream higher-detail wireless audio. Battery life runs up to 40 hours with ANC on, or 55 hours with ANC off. That is enough for a week of commutes or a long-haul flight without reaching for a charger.

Check your phone, codec and app before you buy

LDAC is the codec to verify on your source device. It is common on many Android phones, but iPhones do not support LDAC and will fall back to standard Bluetooth codecs. If high-resolution wireless matters to you, open your phone's Bluetooth audio settings first.

The five ANC levels live in the soundcore app, so you will want to install it and pair the headphones before adjusting the quiet mode. The ear cups swivel 8 degrees to follow your head shape, and the integrated headband spreads weight across longer sessions. Fit affects how well noise cancelling works, so seat the cups over your ears properly.

Who this suits and when to skip it

This is a practical buy for commuters, remote workers and frequent travelers who want adjustable noise cancelling and marathon battery life. At $84.99, it comes in under the typical price of $93.55 over the last 90 days.

We'd skip it if low weight is your priority or you own an iPhone and were counting on LDAC. Check whether you prefer physical buttons or touch controls, since the control scheme is not spelled out here. If you want to try an ANC level before a trip, test the app at home first.

From source to room

From source to room: Confirm your phone supports LDAC, set your preferred ANC level in the app, then seat the cups over your ears for the best noise reduction.
