With a triple laser light source and no color wheel, the AWOL VISION LTV-3000 Pro 4K 3D Ultra Short Throw puts 4K UHD images on a screen up to 150 inches. It also handles Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and 3D playback. Your 4K content looks right when the source and player both output 4K.

At $1614.15, this is the lowest price we've seen, an all-time low, and $274.76 below the typical price over the last 90 days of $1888.91. We'd consider this a strong value for a triple laser UST with these formats.

The connections and controls you'll actually use

The LTV-3000 Pro wants to sit close to the wall. Its fixed 0.25:1 throw ratio means roughly 8.54 inches for a 100-inch screen and 12.84 inches for 150 inches. If your cabinet is too shallow, AWOL's motorized slider adjusts placement.

For automation, the projector supports PJ Link IP control with systems like Control4. It also has a built-in center channel speaker, and you can pair it with AWOL's ThunderBeat 4.2.2 system for a 5.2.2 setup. A 3D Blu-ray player is the simplest source for 3D discs.

Where this ultra short throw fits best

A dark room is where the LTV-3000 Pro performs without compromise. In a brighter room, use an ALR screen to keep colors and contrast intact. The laser light source also uses about one tenth the power of a conventional LED TV, so a big screen doesn't mean a big bill.

We'd consider this a strong pick if you want a 150-inch cinema replacement and sit close enough to match its throw distance. Skip it if your cabinet can't provide the required depth and you don't want the slider. Before you buy, measure the distance from the wall to the front of your cabinet.
