The JBL Tune 720BT is an over-ear Bluetooth headphone for phone listening, video and calls. With Bluetooth 5.3 you stream from a smartphone without a cable, and on-ear controls keep playback and call handling within reach.
We recommend it for listeners who want long wireless sessions without charging every night. The battery is rated for up to 76 hours, and a 5-minute quick charge gives you a few extra hours when you're low. At $49.95, that package is easy to justify for a daily pair.
The JBL Headphones App adds EQ control and voice prompts in your chosen language, so you can adjust the sound and hear setup guidance without digging through menus.
Bluetooth and App Choices That Matter
The signal path is simple: your phone sends audio over Bluetooth 5.3, and the Tune 720BT handles playback and calls. The ear-cup buttons cover volume, tracks and calls, so your phone can stay pocketed.
Voice Aware lets you hear your own voice during calls, which helps on longer conversations. The charging port is USB Type-C, so you'll need a Type-C cable and a USB power source to top up.
Before you buy, check that your phone or computer supports Bluetooth audio and the codecs you rely on. The app is free but requires a compatible Android or iOS device if you want EQ changes.
Where These Headphones Fit
This is a sensible pick for commuting, desk work, study and travel where you want one pair for music and calls. The over-ear shape and blue finish are regular daily-wear choices rather than a specialist studio tool.
We'd skip it if you need active noise cancellation or a wired-only connection, since the Tune 720BT centers on Bluetooth wireless listening. If you want a compact fold for a small bag, check the folded dimensions before ordering.
At $49.95 against a typical price of $69.44 over the last 90 days, the current price runs about 28% lower. That is a real saving on a set that covers long wireless listening, though your fit and phone compatibility still decide whether it suits your routine.
Check your phone's Bluetooth version and the codecs you need before buying.
Confirm the folded size if you plan to carry these in a tight bag.
