The Jabra Speak 510 is a portable speakerphone for people who take calls away from a fixed desk. You plug it into a laptop over USB or pair a phone over Bluetooth, so the same puck covers a shared office room and a kitchen table.

Jabra rates it 4.7 from 207 reviews, which is worth weighing if you mainly need clear two-way voice rather than music playback. For conference audio on a normal workday, we'd consider it a sensible pick at this price.

How you connect it to your setup

The two paths matter because your source device decides which one you use. USB suits a laptop that stays on the table, while Bluetooth frees a phone or tablet for people who move around the room. Jabra says it works with desk phones, mobile phones and softphones, and with online meeting platforms for conference calls and music.

That is the flexibility this speaker earns. Before buying, confirm your chosen platform supports a USB or Bluetooth audio device, and check whether your laptop needs an adapter for the port it has. Those answers sit with your device, not with the speaker.

Which room makes it worth buying

A small meeting room or a home office with a few people around one table is the natural home for this speakerphone. Its portable shape means you can carry it between rooms rather than wiring a fixed system. If you mostly listen alone on headphones, or you want room-filling music for a party, your money is better spent elsewhere.

Battery life, exact Bluetooth range and microphone pickup distance aren't listed in the details here, so check them against how long your calls run and how far you sit from the unit. Confirm the return window too, in case the pickup pattern doesn't match your table layout.
