The Hisense C2 Ultra is made for putting a bigger picture on a wall or screen than most TVs allow. It carries a triple laser light source, peaks at 3000 ANSI lumens, and holds a 2000:1 native contrast ratio.
At $1897.97, it sits $313.55 under the typical price of $2211.52 over the last 90 days, and it marks an all-time low for this model. We'd recommend it if you want a 4K projector that already has Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced built in. Your room light will decide how much of that brightness you actually see.
The 4K AI upscaler is useful for older discs, broadcast TV, and streams that arrive below 4K. There is no separate soundbar in the box, so plan for the audio path before the projector arrives.
How your gear connects to the C2 Ultra
The signal chain starts with whatever you plug in, and the C2 Ultra reads game consoles, streaming sticks, and disc players. Designed for Xbox means it detects an Xbox input and trims latency automatically, while the panel runs up to 240Hz for fast games.
For placement, the 1.67x optical zoom and 0.9-1.5:1 throw ratio let you resize the image without moving the unit. Zooming keeps the full 4K resolution and brightness intact, so you are not robbing the picture to fit the wall.
The angle adjuster adds 360 degrees of horizontal rotation, 90 degrees of upward tilt, and 45 degrees down. That covers wall, ceiling, and floor projection from the same stand.
Which rooms suit this projector
A dark living room or a covered patio makes the most sense for this class of projector. Triple laser color and the wide BT.2020 gamut suit film nights, and the 65-to-300-inch range means you can size the image to the space you have.
Skip it if you mostly watch in a bright daytime room with no light control, since no projector in this class holds up against direct sun. Also check the mounting height and the distance from your chosen seat to the wall before ordering.
Check whether the streaming services you already pay for appear on the built-in apps, and confirm the optical zoom can hit your target size from your actual throw distance.
The C2 Ultra reaches 4.2 stars from 191 ratings.
We'd pass if you need a bright-room picture without shades; a 3000-lumen laser still washes out in direct sun.
